Race for the Piston Cup – Chapter 3 Don’t Give Up! Scene 12 Shot of Diesel 10 passing through Knapford Station, then stopping outside the Fat Controller’s office. NARRATOR: Diesel 10 was on his way to clear away scrap from the lineside. He was just passing through Knapford Station, when he heard the Fat Controller in his office talking on the phone. FAT CONTROLLER: Flying Scotsman derailed at the bend?! Oh, dear, oh dear… and just two days before the race, too… Send him to the Sodor Steamworks at once. I’ll let his controller know what’s happened. Good-bye. NARRATOR: Diesel 10 grinned deviously – this was the chance he had been waiting for. The Fat Controller walks out of his office, looking exhausted. Diesel 10 forces a friendly smile. DIESEL 10: Good afternoon, Sir. FAT CONTROLLER: Hm? Oh, hello, Diesel 10… DIESEL 10: Is something the matter? FAT CONTROLLER: Flying Scotsman derailed at the bend near Kellsthorpe, which means he won’t be able to race. DIESEL 10: Really?

Race for the Piston Cup – Chapter 2 Devious Diesels and a Falling Scotsman Scene 7 Extended overhead shot of Thomas and Edward arriving at BRENDAM DOCKS. NARRATOR: Thomas and Edward arrived at Brendam Docks. They were very surprised to find Oliver there. THOMAS: Oliver! What are you doing here? OLIVER: I’m waiting to meet the competitors for the Sodor Railway Race. Can you see them yet, Cranky? CRANKY: No, not yet. EDWARD: I'm sure they'll be here soon. It takes quite a long time to get to Sodor from the Mainland. OLIVER: I know, but I'm just so excited to meet them! THOMAS: So am I! I've been wondering who would be in the race. EDWARD: We came here to collect the poles for the starting and finishing lines, Thomas, not to meet the competitors. Fade to a shot of Thomas and Edward with their load. At the end of it, the title of the special appears on the screen. Scene 2 Multiple shots of the engines working, looking very excited. NARRATOR: It was a very special time on the Island of Sodor. Shot of a poster on a station wall. NARRATOR: The annual Sodor Railway Race was happening in just a few days. Shot of various engines racing down a stretch of track, crossing a finish line, then showing a picture of a special trophy - THE PISTON CUP NARRATOR: Engines from all over would race against one another, and the winner would be declared a railway champion, and win the famous Piston Cup.
